Steel String Session plays a tapestry of modern acoustic Americana music with an emphasis on Rockabilly-Jazz-Grass.  The *S-3* sound is rich with swing and passion – and sometimes blues, mystery and heartache.

Each member of Steel String Session is a talented vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. With their harmonic blending and sensational songwriting, the group is a power hitter in a live audience settings whether intimate or grand.

Some of you asked to see this. Yes, that’s our Lisa on the fiddle way in the dark background on this Marty Stuart – Merle Haggard rendition of the Marty-Connie Smith song “Farmer’s Blues.” Stuart Duncan who is the real fiddler on the song couldn’t make the video shoot so they asked Lisa to step in.

Roadtrip Nation

The popular PBS Television show, “Roadtrip Nation” has licensed our original song “Fletcher’s Bazaar” for it’s upcoming fall season. This is the 8th year for the TV show that keeps growing in popularity. “Roadtrip Nation” can be seen on every local PBS station. We want to thank the show’s producers for finding our music and incorporating us into “the movement.”

Bluegrass Bands Helping Hands

Bluegrass Bands Helping Hands has secured our song “Nowhere West Virginia” for its 2nd CD compilation release. The CD is a companion piece to the concert being held this year on September 25th in Dalton, Georgia. Steel String Session performed at last year’s inaugural event and we are pleased to once again be included on the recording project.

Heart for a Hero

The latest book from author Ed Ditto has used Steel String Session’s original song “Ocoee Road” as its theme music.  “Ocoee Road” is the title track from our recent music CD.
